Whether its building up or tearing down - these capable, strong, resilient women are all in. We are beyond grateful for their kind hearted devotion and willingness to support their parents’ crazy DIY adventures, especially when this particular idea has gone up in smoke. Our daughters are our real dreams come true. Can’t really ask for more than that.
MEET HALLIE KERR
SHOUT OUT to Hallie Kerr, aka our eldest daughter. Call it nature vs nurture, as a toddler, she was always at the ready with tool box in hand to help out with whatever the DIY home improvement project. In fact her handy dandy tool belt was her favorite accessory to compliment her Cinderella outfit. All grown up now, she’s inherited her Pa’s tool belt and her fathers knack for fixing things. Trading out her “glass slippers” for her mom’s old hiking boots, she continues to gift us with her time, talent, and enthusiastic support for her parent’s daunting house adventure. Scampering about on the roof with no fear for heights certainly made the task of tarping the roof way more fun — and of course go much faster. THANKS HALLIE!
SHOUT - Just a little bit LOUDER now...
Keeping her memory alive, here is our dog, SHOUT, making some noise celebrating all the good people who are helping us along this journey. We are so very lucky to be surrounded by exceptionally talented people and figured you might like to meet them. Each SHOUT OUT shares more details about the person and their artistry/expertise. Many are available for hire, just so yah know. Their links are included in their story.
MEET ALEXIS LOPEZ
Our first SHOUT OUT goes to the editor of our DIY Nightmare video, Mr. Alexis Lopez. Alexis graciously made this horror spoof for us just for fun. He is typically a much more serious artist. An award winning videographer, his documentary signature style melds the best of photo journalism ideals with captivating camera work and richly crafted editing.
